COVID - school will remain closed until further notice

14 September 2020 (by accrington)

Due to no new guidance from the Government or Unions, school will only be open for Key Worker or vulnerable children from 9:10am - 3pm.

An email was sent to parents/carers on 3rd January informing you that - A number of staff will not be returning to school as they are following union advice. Having conducted a risk assessment, it has been decided that staffing levels are too low to ensure a safe return for your child/ren. The LEA have said that if staffing levels are too low they will support this decision.

School will be open from 9:10am - 3pm everyday for Key Worker and vulnerable children whose parents have already been contacted.

All staff will switch to home learning from tomorrow and children should complete work on Google Classroom. Staff will be available to support you at all times during normal school hours.

Once the situation becomes clearer parents/carers will receive another email but for now school will remain closed until further notice except for those mentioned above. We do not have any answers to whether meal vouchers will continue etc but will let you know as soon as we are informed.

This is a difficult time for everyone but we want to assure you that we wish for the safe return of children to school as soon as possible.

If you or your child test positive please contact the school as soon as possible. If it is out of school hours please contact Mrs, Trayner at or phone 07947742976.

Thank you for baring with us through these challenging times and stay safe.
