A little bit about us

Woodnook Primary School was opened in 1983 following the amalgamation of two schools.  We are a multi cultural school with pupils of English, Pakistani and Bengali heritage.

We currently have 230 children on roll, divided into 9 classes (4 at KS1 and 5 at KS2).  As our intake number is 40, some children are taught in mixed age classes.  As a staff we have high expectations.  It is our aim to foster the over all development of the child so that she/ he reaches their full potential.

We work hard to make sure that children enjoy and achieve at Woodnook School.  We have recently refurbished our ICT suite, and every classroom has an interactive white board to enhance children's learning.  The Key Stage 1 indoor and outdoor areas have been re-designed to create a stimulating and educational experience for our pupils.

We also have a garden which is looked after by Mrs Reading and the Gardening Club.  Each class has a plot in the garden, where they grow lots of fruit and vegetables.

Please spend some time looking around our website, we hope you enjoy looking at our work!
