PE Enrichment Opportunities
At Woodnook, we are part of the School Sports Partnership. We have children from both KS1 & KS2 participating in Core events and school games events including inclusion events. This gives children of all ages the opportunities to represent our school whilst staying active, trying new sports and being part of a team. When attending these events, the children are given the opportunity to wear our school kit, as shown below.
Further to this, we offer other exciting opportunities through our PE enrichment opportunities.
Tuesday After School Clubs
Football Team League Training 3:30pm-4:30pm
Dance Club- EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2
Dance Classes
As part of PE this year, each class will have the opportunity to create a performance with a professional dance instructor.
Accrignton Stanley Shirt Give-away
In Autumn Term, the children in Year 3 visited Accrington Stanley football club, where they toured the pitch-side, met the players and were given a goody-bag to take away!
Accrington Academy Football League
The children in Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to join our school football team and participate in league games at Accrington Academy.
Fitness Challenges with Michael Churm
Michael Churm , a paralympic athlete, visited our school. Every class took part in a range of fitness challenges with him and he led an inspiration assembly. The message of the assembly was "To NEVER give up."
