Year Six is an important year for your child and you can help them get the most from this important year by ensuring that they are at school and on time whenever possible and that homework tasks and nightly reading are completed as they help to extend and build on the work done in class.
Key Stage Two statutory tests have been cancelled but they will still be teacher assessed and tested. Your child will be assessed on Arithmetic, two written Maths papers, Reading and Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation (GPS). A daily timetable can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/

The half termly newsletter informs you about the learning which will take place each half term. On the newsletter you will find out all about out PE days and topics we are covering. Please encourage you child and ask them questions related to their learning.
PE is on a Tuesday and the children need to come to school wearing their kit. Please ensure that this is appropriate for the weather.
Homework will be shared through Google Classroom this year. An email has been sent with the code and registration details for this.
Tuesday – Maths and English Reading Inference

PLEASE ensure you read with your child as often as possible. Books will be changed twice a week on Monday (lesson) and Friday (lunchtime).
The children also need to practice their termly KIRF. This term the children are recalling square roots of numbers up to 144. Please use the letter that was emailed to support you with activities.
